Durham, North Carolina The Yoh Football Center is a 78,000 square foot athletic training facility located next to Wallace Wade Stadium on the Duke University campus. This four story building houses an indoor workout and practice space, a speed and agility room, locker room, coaches offices, a weight training room, a sports medicine center, position group meeting rooms, and a players’ lounge. A Duke Football Hall of Fame is also included, featuring interactive exhibits and memorabilia illustrating the program’s long and storied history. An accessible roof deck with spectacular views of Wallace Wade’s playing field is used for outdoor receptions, dining, and special events.
Set as a backdrop to Wallace Wade Stadium, the façade of the Yoh Center draws inspiration from both the stadium’s Art Moderne character and Duke’s signature Gothic Revivalism, fashioning a uniquely muscular, yet nuanced fusion of contextual influences. The facility is sited as the final phase of a master planned athletic quadrangle, completing the enclosure of a significant campus open space.
